Before you begin the final stages of writing your dissertation or thesis, you may want to see some examples of completed works. Information on where to locate dissertations and theses from your school at Rutgers is below. The Thesis/Dissertation Guide is provided to clarify the standards set by the Graduate School at the University of Rhode Island and to describe the criteria used to approve a thesis or dissertation. Following the defense in the discipline under which the work is awarded, it must meet the standards described in this document. Power Point slides from our orientation session are found here.

Whether your university has a template or you’ve begun the dissertation without one, this guide will be helpful to you as it includes a detailed descriptions of chapters 1-5 and subsections that help you, the doctoral student, flesh-out each chapter. The template is written to comply with most university requirements.
