This collection of MIT Theses in DSpace contains selected theses and dissertations from all MIT departments. Please note that this is NOT a complete collection of MIT theses. To search all MIT theses, use Barton, MIT Libraries’ catalog.

TPP student research spans many domains, but shares methodologies and goals. Examples of award-winning theses and noteworthy research projects are shared here. We also maintain a public database of all TPP thesis titles, with links to web publications where available.
Awarded best TPP thesis of 2017, Arun Singh’s research analyzed climate policy options for India by building and applying a model of the Indian economy with detailed representation of the electricity sector. His thesis advisor was Prof. Valerie Karplus.

Good news! Full text of thousands of dissertations and theses from most North American and selected worldwide universities are now available through Proquest’s Dissertations and Theses database:
Most MIT theses are available full text from 2004 onwards, with selected earlier theses available full text as well.

A number of universities have their own theses available for free online so check the granting university’s website.
