Bibliographic details and abstracts are available to all. Downloads of full-text dissertations are restricted to University of Portsmouth members who must login. MPhils may be accessed by all.

Electronic dissertations submitted through this process will appear and be archived in the Brown Digital Repository (BDR).
To complete the submission process doctoral candidates must have successfully defended their dissertation and had it approved by their committee. To use the ETD system, doctoral candidates must also be actively enrolled and possess a valid username and password for accessing Brown’s computer network. 2008 to the present: Most Northeastern theses and dissertations can be downloaded from our Digital Repository Service (Open Access) or Dissertations and Theses @NU (Proquest). (NU login required)
Northeastern master’s theses and doctoral dissertations are searchable in Scholar OneSearch.

Electronic submission indicates that rather than printing your document and submitting paper copies to the Graduate School, you submit your final document as a PDF file. No paper copies are accepted by the Graduate School or the UAB libraries. Committee members may still, if they choose, require a paper copy for their part of the review process.
An Electronic Thesis or Dissertation (ETD) is the same as its paper counterpart in content and organization and meets the formatting requirements described in the Format Manual for Theses and Dissertations.

Physical copies published through 2013 are on the 2 nd Floor of Dupré Library. Beginning in 2014, all physical copies are in the Jefferson Caffery Reading Room on the 3 rd Floor.
